Die TDV GmbH beginnt eine intensive Zusammenarbeit mit Norsk Data zur Entwicklung und Vertrieb von Software für technische Anwendungen auf der Basis von ePOS und CAD-Anwendungen für die Schaltplanerstellung. Norsk Data stellt der TDV GmbH Computer im Wert von ca. 1 Mio. DM zur Verfügung.
Norsk Data war eines der renommiertesten Unternehmen Norwegens, das mit der Herstellung von Kleincomputern sein Geld verdiente und durchaus im Kreis der Großen wie IBM und Hewlett-Packard mitspielte. Seine Blütezeit hatte Norsk Data von 1967 bis 1988. Mit Niederlassungen in Großbritannien, Frankreich, Schweden, Dänemark, Deutschland und der USA agierte das Unternehmen weltweit und beschäftigte in seinen besten Jahren etwa 4.000 Mitarbeiter. Innerhalb von 20 Jahren avancierte das Unternehmen zum Zweitgrößten an der Osloer Börse.

Norsk Data was one of Norway’s most renowned companies, earning its money by manufacturing small computers and playing in the circle of the big players such as IBM and Hewlett-Packard. Norsk Data had its heyday from 1967 to 1988, operating worldwide with subsidiaries in the UK, France, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and the USA and employing around 4,000 people in its best years. Within 20 years, the company had become the second largest on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
